Guided Meditation for Peaceful State

This is a guided meditation that uses vocals mixed with nature sounds. The intention is to help you experience a peaceful state of mind and body.

This track was mixed to be listened to on headphones for the best experience.

This meditation uses several nature sounds tracks that are licensed from Karl Hamilton at www.naturesounds.ca

The tracks used are

  • Wind in Pines
  • Forest Stream
  • Relaxation Brook
  • Silver Falls
  • Broad-Winged Hawk
You can find these and many other excellent nature recordings at his site.

Addiction, the Brain, and the Jewel Wasp

One of the common themes I hear from addicts is how they experience their mind as hijacked. They are on their way to obtain drugs and the whole time they are telling themselves “Turn around!!! This is crazy!!! I can’t do this!!!” But their body is under the control of something other than themselves. I have also heard this from people who are addicted to behaviors other than just drug use, such as eating disorders or gambling. Ocean and Wind for Relaxation 3

This is not a guided meditation but rather a soothing background that can be used while meditating, for relaxation, or for going to sleep.

I have had people tell me that natural ocean sounds sometimes have the waves crashing too fast or too loudly for them to relax to. This is a synthesized sound with the waves breaking about three times per minute.

I can make some changes if you have requests.

For high quality recordings of nature sounds I like Karl Hamilton’s work.
